Guerneville, CA Bank Project
The Guerneville Bank building, a graceful and elegant landmark located in the center of Main Street had been abandoned for more than 30 years when it was purchased for restoration in 2014. Though no longer used as an actual bank, the new owner had a distinct appreciation for the history of the building, and wanted to preserve as many of the original fixtures and architectural details as possible, including the original vault, which he has opened up to visitors. As part of required ADA upgrades, we redesigned the entry access steps (which had been replaced) to mimic the original historic layout, while incorporating a new code-compliant ramp for increased accessibility.

An open kitchen and dining room with a clean, modern aesthetic was the goal for this 2016 residential remodel. The existing sunken living room was raised to match the rest of the main level, and new white oak hardwood flooring, light finishes and vaulted ceilings provide an open, airy feeling throughout.

This 2014 residential remodel consisted of a complete reconfiguration of the existing ranch-style floor plan, including the addition of two opposing bedroom wings, in order to create a new exterior courtyard and pool area for entertaining. The freestanding solid-roof pergola provides shade for the south-facing kitchen and dining area, and allows for year-round outdoor enjoyment of the space.
